ATLANTA – The sixth-seeded Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball team (23-9, 8-6 ACC) will meet first-time NCAA Tournament participant Arkansas-Little Rock (26-6, 17-1 Sun Belt) in the first round Sunday evening. The game at the Lloyd Noble Center, which will be televised by ESPN2, is scheduled to tip-off at 7:16 p.m. ET.

GEORGIA TECH VS. ARKANSAS-LITTLE ROCK
Georgia Tech has never faced Arkansas-Little Rock.
The two programs could have met earlier in the season in the second round of the Preseason WNIT had the Trojans defeated Oklahoma State.
The Yellow Jackets are 3-0 all-time against the Sun Belt Conference.
The Jackets are 2-2 all-time against teams from the state of Arkansas.
TECH IN NCAA TOURNAMENT
Georgia Tech will be making its fourth straight appearance and sixth overall in the NCAA Tournament. The Jackets are 2-5 all-time in the tournament and have reached the second round in two of the last three seasons. The Jackets sixth seed is the highest in program history. Last year, Georgia Tech, who was a No. 9 seed, defeated No. 8 Iowa on their home floor before dropping a second round game to No. 1 Oklahoma. Tech will meet Arkansas-Little Rock of the Sun Belt Conference for the first time. The winner of Sunday evenings game will face either No. 3 seeded Oklahoma or No. 14 seeded South Dakota State in the second round on Tuesday evening.
ARDOSSI, MONTGOMERY NAMED ALL-ACC
Georgia Tech senior Brigitte Ardossi and junior Alex Montgomery earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors. Ardossi was selected to the All-ACC second team, while Montgomery was named All-ACC third team.
ARDOSSI NAMED STATE OF GEORGIA WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Georgia Tech senior Brigitte Ardossi has been selected as the State of Georgia Women’s College Players of the Year, announced the Atlanta Tipoff Club Tuesday.
Chosen by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Georgia Selection Committee, Ardossi will be recognized at the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Naismith Awards banquet presented by AT&T and SunTrust on March 23 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta.
