No. 3 Women’s Tennis Hosts Virginia, Louisville

THE FLATS – Coming off its first ACC win of the season, the 3rd-ranked Georgia Tech women’s tennis team hosts No. 24 Virginia and Louisville at home this weekend. The Jackets and Cavaliers hold first serve on Friday at 2:30 p.m. before Tech hosts Louisville on Sunday at noon.

THE SCENE: On a three-match win streak, the Jackets will look to remain unbeaten at home when they return to the courts on Friday. Tech enters weekend action with a 7-1 record and 1-0 league mark. Virginia comes into Friday’s match carrying a 7-2 ledger and boasts a 2-0 mark against ACC foes having defeated Boston College and Syracuse. The Cavaliers have won six-straight matches dating back to Jan. 27 in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.

Louisville carries a 12-1 record into Sunday’s matchup and stands at 2-0 in league play with wins over Notre Dame and Pittsburgh.

ITA RANKINGS: Georgia Tech jumped nine spots in the latest ITA rankings to No. 3 in the nation after pocketing an upset over No. 6 Georgia before defeating No. 19 Florida State over the weekend. Virginia dropped one spot to No. 24. Below are the individual rankings:
