>> Having won nine of its last 10 games and returning to the Top 25 for the second time this season, No. 25 Georgia Tech opens a seven-game road swing this weekend at Maryland.
>> The teams are meeting for the final time in the regular season as ACC opponents. Tech and Maryland have not played since 2011 and are playing at Shipley Field for the first time since 2010.
>> The Jackets took down No. 1 Florida State twice this past weekend, beat rival Georgia Tuesday, and have previous ACC series wins over then-No. 13 North Carolina and No. 22 Miami. Tech is 6-3 versus ranked teams this season.
>> Freshman SS Connor Justus was named the ACC Player of the Week after hitting .471, with two doubles, two homers and a team-best eight RBI. He has played 21-straight error-free games.
>> The Jackets have played 18 straight games of holding the opposition to five runs or less (12-6), extending the longest such streak in 21 years under head coach Danny Hall.
>> Tech is second in the ACC in hitting (.287), third in doubles (71) and first in triples (14). Matt Gonzalez leads the ACC in hits (49) and doubles (14), while Daniel Spingola leads in triples (5).
