TOP STORYLINES
• Winners of two out of its last three ACC series, Georgia Tech baseball will finish the regular season largely on the road, beginning at Clemson on May 6-8.
• The all-time series between the two teams, which dates back to 1902, is deadlocked at 115-115-3. Georgia Tech has taken five of the last six games, including a three-game sweep in 2021.
• Georgia Tech’s last three ACC series wins have come against then-No. 13 Florida State, North Carolina and then-No. 3 Miami.
• The Jackets have been unstoppable now fully healthy as one of the nation’s top offenses, currently ranking No. 3 overall with 531 hits on the year.
• Tech also ranks third in average (.322), fourth in home runs (85), sixth in slugging (.546), seventh in runs (418), seventh in scoring (9.3) and 11th in on-base percentage (.418).
• Three of the last four weeks, Georgia Tech has had a National Player of the Week and/or the ACC Player of the Week (Kevin Parada, twice, and Tim Borden II).
• Parada currently leads the nation in home runs with 23 home runs. He also ranks second in RBI (74) and total bases (154), seventh in hits (74) and ninth in slugging (.794).
• Also red-hot at the plate are Chandler Simpson (.440), Andrew Jenkins (.380), Tres Gonzalez (.329), Tim Borden II (.320), and Stephen Reid (.318).
• Hitting .288 on the year, Drew Compton has come on of late, hitting in six of his last eight games with seven RBI and three home runs.
• Veteran RHP John Medich was moved to Friday night in Tech’s new-look weekend rotation and has looked terrific. In four starts on the year, Medich holds an impressive 2.20 ERA.
