>> No. 11 Georgia Tech brings the nation’s hottest offense into a midweek match-up Tuesday night at Russ Chandler Stadium versus Georgia Southern at 6 p.m.

>> The game can be heard on WREK 91.1 FM in Atlanta with Nolan Alexander and Will Long on the call, while ESPN3 will carry the game with Richard Musterer and Roddy Jones.

>> Tech out-scored the Eagles 25-12 over a two-game midweek series earlier this season, and is looking to sweep GSU for the first time since 2010.

>> Tech enters the week leading the nation in batting average (.355), scoring (10.0) and slugging percentage (.526), while seven everyday starters are hitting .299 or better.

>> Senior CF Brandon Thomas paces the ACC and is second nationally in batting average at .479. He’s hit safely in 11-consecutive games, including seven-consecutive multi-hit contests.

>> Junior C Zane Evans is the ACC Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. He hit .467 in the three-game sweep of Boston College this past weekend and drove in nine of the Jackets’ 32 runs, had two doubles, a triple and two homers.

>> Freshman RHP Jared Jillson is set for his first career start Tuesday night. In seven relief appearances this season, Jillson owns a 4.32 ERA with eight strikeouts and one walk in 8.1 innings.

>> At 17-2, Tech has matched its best 19-game start under head coach Danny Hall. Five other Jacket teams were 17-2, each went on to win 44+ games and reach an NCAA Regional.
