THE FLATS – While a number of firsts took place last week for a few #ProJackets – Jed Bradley made his MLB debut and picked up his first major league win, and Jacob Esch made his first career start at home for the Miami Marlins – a slew of other exciting things took place for a handful of former Tech standouts.
Buck Farmer was called back up to the majors where he recorded two strikeouts in one inning of work versus the Chicago White Sox on Sept. 6, while Derek Dietrich has returned from the 15-day disabled list to assume a spot in the Miami Marlins’ lineup.
A total of five #ProJackets are playing in the MiLB playoffs which began this week.
Zane Evans (NW Arkansas Naturals) and Mott Hyde (Corpus Christi Hooks) are both playing for their respective teams in the Double A Texas Leauge Playoffs, while Dusty Isaacs (Dunedin Blue Jays), Daniel Spingola (Myrtle Beach Pelicans) and Matthew Gorst (Lowell Spinners) are all in the playoffs as well at the Single A level.
