Nissan #ProJackets Baseball Report

Aug. 30, 2017

THE FLATS — A number of MLB #ProJackets are getting hot at the right time for their respective teams, while two MLB #ProJacket arms are pitching for new times as the season moves into the month of September this week.

Charlie Blackmon continues to sit atop of a number of offensive categories in Major League Baseball, as he is hitting .339 with a total of 181 hits on the season, including 31 home runs, 14 triples and 28 doubles. Blackmon has not slowed down over the month of August, as he has hit .357 with 15 hits, two houm runs, six RBIs and six runs scored over his last 10 games, which included going 4-for-12 with a home run versus the Braves in Atlanta on Aug. 25-27.

Like Blackmon, Matt Wieters, who has been one of the few constants in the lineup for the Washington Nationals over the last few weeks, has swung a hot bat as of late. Over his last 10 games, Wieters has hit .323 with 10 hits, a home run, five RBIs and seven runs scored.

Called back up the big leauges by the Detroit Tigers on Aug. 26, Buck Farmer earned his third MLB win of the season allowing just three runs over 5.2 innings of work in a start versus the Chicago White Sox.

Reliever Blake Wood found a new home on Aug. 25, as the righty was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Since joining the Angels, Wood is 1-0 and has not allowed a baserunner in two appearances.

Below is a complete list of the Baseball #ProJackets playing professionally this season.
