OREGON HEAD COACH MIKE WHITE
“That’s fast-pitch softball. You don’t know what’s going to happen. We capitalized on opportunities today. If we didn’t get those runs I think it would have been a lot different. It was good to keep scoring and putting pressure on Georgia Tech.”
On scoring runs in bunches
“We tend to score in bunches, and we had that going today. It helped us come out on top.”
On Oregon’s offensive output
“We played one of the best games offensively we’ve had all year, especially with pitch selection and taking advantage of opportunities.”
OREGON SECOND BASEMAN KAYLAN HOWARD
On grand slam
“My teammates were fired up about the grand slam. I think it got them to cheer a little bit louder. After that, we started making up cheers in the dugout, getting up and supporting each other. We had a lot of fun in the dugout and I think that contributed.”
On Oregon registering 12 hits
“At first, the hitting was surprising, but once people started hitting it got contagious. We were having fun.”
On earning a spot in regional final game
“I think we’re in a really good position right now. I have a lot of confidence in my teammates. We’re in a good place right now to try to win the regional.”
