Renee Metivier won the 3,000 meter run while several other Yellow Jackets placed in the top 10 in day two of the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Metivier’s time of 9:32.55 led her to the title while she also set a new meet record. Jessica DeFreitas finished in seventh place in the long jump (20-3.75) while Mishanta Reyes jumped 19-11.75″ to finish in 10th place. In the shot put, Dana Hall finished in 10th place with a throw of 45-04.25″ while Angela Levens placed 13th (43-03.25).
Other Yellow Jackets to compete today included Eboni Crosby, who finished in 24th (4:47.59) and Amanda Gilley, who placed 29th (5:09.38) in the 1,500 meter run.
The final day of the Georgia Tech Invitational will begin at 1 p.m on Saturday in the field events, while the running events will begin at 5 p.m.
