Five newcomers join the Georgia Tech volleyball roster in 2013 and RamblinWreck.com kicks off a series of interviews with the freshmen getting ready to start their first season as a Yellow Jacket.
Today, we focus on 5’11 setter Rebecca Martin. The Novi, Mich. native was four-year letterwinner at Northville High School and led her team to the school’s first ever state Final Four appearance and an overall record of 49-4-4 – the most victories in school history. She was ranked No. 71 on PrepVolleyball.com’s Senior Aces list and is a 2012-13 Under Armour Honorable Mention All-America honoree. Meet Rebecca Martin.

Most people don’t know this about me, but I:
Can’t watch a movie without knowing if it ends happily.
The App I use the most is:
Instagram.
I can’t image going a week without:
My phone and my chapstick.
The sport I’m the worst at is:
Golf, baseball, tennis, hockey, etc. Basically, anything with a racquet or stick.
If I didn’t play volleyball, I’d play:
Soccer because I used to play and have a great corner kick.
If I were on a reality TV show, it’d be:
The Amazing Race.
I can’t miss a TV episode of:
Castle because I think the characters are great and I love a good mystery.
I have to admit, I’m really good at:
Water skiing. I’ve been water skiing every summer since I was 8 years old.
My game day superstition is:
I do my hair the same way with my lucky hairties and I have to put on my chapstick before I take the court.
My career aspiration is:
To be a Disney Imagineer.
I chose Georgia Tech because:
It was a perfect fit! The school is great academically, the volleyball program is awesome, the coaching staff is exceptional, the fans are loud, the campus is amazing and it has beautiful warm weather!
