McGuire and Plagman on 2010 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Team

TUCSON, Ariz. – Junior pitcher Deck McGuire and senior first baseman Tony Plagman were named to the Louisville Slugger Preseason All-America Team as announced by Collegiate Baseball newspaper Monday.

McGuire landed a spot on the first team while Plagman was a third team selection. Both Tech players were named to the National College Baseball Writers Association preseason All-America team last Wednesday.

McGuire, the 2009 ACC Pitcher of the Year, joins four other ACC student-athletes on the first team.

In all, 11 players from the conference were on the list.

The pre-season pick as National Player of The Year is RHP Anthony Ranaudo of Louisiana State. The complete Louisville Slugger first, second and third Preseason All-America teams are listed below.
