CARLSBAD, Calif., – Georgia Tech fans have until mid-afternoon Friday to bid on several unique memorabilia items as part of the school’s ongoing auction, at www.ramblinwreck.com/ebay. Note that the ending times listed on the auctions are Pacific Daylight Time.
Items, currently available for bid through mid-day on Friday include:
- Experience Georgia Tech football from a Luxury Suite at Boddy Dodd Stadium/Grant Field as the Yellow Jackets host Maryland on October 23. Invite your friends or entertain business clients in style from a private box over looking historic Grant Field. Enjoy catered food and beverage while experiencing a football game in a luxury suite. May invite up to 16 guests.
- Obtain a personalized and autographed official college football from Georgia Tech head coach Chan Gailey after the Maryland game on October 23.
- Obtain a replica white game jersey from one of Georgia Tech’s all-time great football players – #1 Ken Swilling.
Proceeds from this auction will benefit benefit Georgia Tech athletics scholarships. The auction is part of a nationwide program with eBay Sports and OCSN, which partners with Georgia Tech and 144 university athletic departments and conferences to manage and maintain Official Athletic Sites.
During the season, college football fans who show team spirit by buying licensed merchandise and memorabilia will make their dollars go the distance. From September through December, eBay Sports will track the amount of money collectively spent per team and release weekly top 25 standings. When the contest ends in January 2004, eBay will give the school that generates the most in sales a $25,000 donation to be used toward a scholarship-scoring a major victory for education.
