PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.- Sophomores Megan Kurey and Kendal Woodard lost a hard fought match in the doubles main draw bracket at the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships this afternoon.
Kurey and Woodard, who are ranked #26, faced off against #15 Caroline Price and Whitney Kay of North Carolina in the first round of the doubles main draw. Price and Kay defeated Kurey and Woodard, 8-6.
The Yellow Jacket duo earned its spot in the doubles main draw after winning the ITA National Collegiate Summer Circuit Doubles Title in August.
Kurey and Woodard will play in the doubles back draw which begins tomorrow. They will face #16 Mary Ann Daines and Erin Routliffe of Alabama at 9 a.m. PST.
