THE FLATS – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced kickoff times and TV designations for each of Georgia Tech’s first four football games of the 2016 season.
Georgia Tech opens the 2016 season on September 3 with the Aer Lingus College Football Classic against Boston College in Dublin, Ireland. The game will kick off at 7:30 a.m ET and be televised on ESPN2.
The Yellow Jackets return home the following weekend for the first of four straight home games with Mercer at 3 p.m. on ESPN3, marking the first meeting between the two schools since 1938.
Vanderbilt visits Bobby Dodd Stadium on September 17 for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff that will televised by the ACC Network, which is syndicated in over 100 markets nationally and more than 90 million TV households. Fans outside the network’s footprint can watch on ESPN3.
Additionally, Georgia Tech’s Thursday night game against Clemson on September 22 at Bobby Dodd Stadium will kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
It will mark Georgia Tech’s 32nd appearance on the ESPN Thursday Night package and its 24th home game. No team in college football has played or hosted more since the network launched Thursday Night games in the early 1990s.
