ATLANTA – Georgia Tech redshirt junior safety Jake Blackwood has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA first-team Academic All-District III team it was announced this morning by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
A West Palm Beach, Fla., native, Blackwood will now be on the national ballot and eligible for Academic All-American accolades. He has 11 tackles this year, including eight solo. He also has a half-sack for four yards and has played in all nine games this far.
