ATLANTA – Senior Kristina Hull and juniors Savannah Brown and Aileen Morales and sophomore Blair Shimandle each hit home runs to lead the Georgia Tech softball team past Georgia Perimeter College, 25-0, in 12 innings, on Saturday at Glenn Field. The Yellow Jackets conclude the fall season with a perfect 3-0 record.
Pitchers Sarah Wood, Whitney Humphreys and Lacey Richardson combined to allow just two hits and fanned 14 en route to a shutout. Wood, a senior from Marietta, Ga., started all three fall games for Tech going 3-0.
Morales finished the game 2-for-5, with a home run, four runs scored and drove in three runs. Brown drove in three with a home run, while Hull finished with three runs scored and three RBIs.
Shimandle was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate, driving in three runs and walking once.
Sophomore transfer Jennifer Yee score three runs for Tech, while sophomore Whitney Haller went 4-for-8, with three doubles and three RBIs.
Junior transfer Brittany Barnes went 3-for-5, with two RBIs, while freshman walk-on Laurie Reed went 2-for-2 for the Jackets.
The Jackets will conclude fall practice this Wednesday, Oct. 25, and begin individual workouts on Thursday.
