Jackets Host No. 20 NC State, No. 11 Wake Forest This Weekend

Atlanta – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team (5-12, 2-5 ACC) will play their first home match in nearly two weeks when they host No. 20 NC State on Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Bill Moore Tennis Center. The Jackets will then take on No. 11 Wake Forest on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Tech leads the all-time series with NC State, 23-6, and has won the last 14 meetings and, head coach Kenny Thorne is undefeated when facing the Wolfpack. Their last meeting was on April 7, 2006 in Raleigh, N.C. where Tech came away with a 4-3 win.

The Jackets have also faired well against the Demon Deacons in years past owning a 21-10 all-time series lead over Wake Forest. The Jackets have won the last three meetings with the Deacs.

Tech enters Friday’s contest on a seven-match skid with their last win coming on March 7 at Clemson.
