TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s cross country squads competed in the ACC Cross Country Championships Friday morning, as the men finished 10th with 209 points and the women finished 14th with 407 points. The race was hosted by Florida State University at Apalachee Regional Park.

Brandon Lasater led the way for the Yellow Jackets in the men’s 8k, finishing 23rd (24:19.3) and only two spots away from being an All-ACC performer. Jeremy Greenwald finished 42nd (24:51.5) for the Jackets, while Nahom Solomon (44th, 24:53.8) and Zane Coburn (48th, 24:56.6) also placed in the top-50.

“I’m really proud of the men,” head coach Alan Drosky said. “They competed really well today. Brandon had an outstanding race and barely missed All-ACC. It was a solid day for the men.”

Hayley Keadey finished 61st (21:54.5) in the women’s 6k, leading the way for the Jackets. Melissa Fairey placed 84th (22:21.4) and Sarah Bowles placed 91st (22:26.2) as the Jackets finished with three runners in the top-100.

“To finish 14th is a little disappointing,” said Drosky. “We’ll regroup and get ready for the regional championship in Tuscaloosa.”

The Yellow Jackets will compete in the NCAA South Regional on Nov. 13 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
