THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (14-8) fell to No. 8 Georgia (19-2) 16-4 in the bottom of the sixth at Mewborn Field on Wednesday night.

Tech found its way onto the board in the bottom of the second. A fielder’s choice from juniorย Rebecca Prairie plated seniorย Katie Krzus for Tech’s first run of the game. Sophomoreย Breanna Roperย doubled to right center, scoring freshman Bailee Zeitlerย to bring the tally to 7-2. A double off the bat of junior Crosby Huckabay brought in Prairie and Roper, moving the score to 7-4.
M4 | Georgia plated two more runs in the fourth. Tech trails 9-4.
