Hern Leads Jackets on Day One of Spec Towns Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – Freshman Kimery Hern finished sixth in the women’s hammer throw with a season-best mark of 167 feet, 4 inches, to lead Georgia Tech at the Spec Towns Invitational on Friday.

Freshman Alana Clooten finished eighth for the Jackets with a mark of 163 feet, 8 inches.

Day two of the Spec Towns Invitational will take place all day on Saturday at Spec Towns Track.
