ATLANTA (Jan. 26) – One week after participating in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., quarterback Joe Hamilton will be competing again, this time at the 2000 COMPAQ All-Star Challenge at the Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Ga. on Saturday, January 29, at 12 noon.
The Intersport Television production revolves around a roster of blue-chip seniors competing in a one-of-a-kind skills event, including Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne; Michigan State wide receiver Plaxico Burress; Virginia running back Thomas Jones; Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin; and Louisville quarterback Chris Redman. Scheduled events in the All-Star Challenge are “Aerial Assault” presented by COMPAQ and “Run and Shoot” presented by State Farm Insurance (for quarterbacks) and the “Shake and Bake” presented by Mennen and the “Obstacle Rush” presented by Federal Express (for running backs and receivers).
The 2000 COMPAQ All-Star Challenge will be presented to a national television audience via FOX Sports. A one-hour telecast is scheduled at 12 noon Eastern time, Super Sunday, January 30 on the local Fox affiliate.
