Hall, Owings on ACC Live

May 17, 2004

Georgia Tech head baseball coach Danny Hall and sophomore standout Micah Owings will be in-studio guests on Monday’s edition of ACC Live, airing at 6:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Net South.

Hall and Owings will discuss Tech’s current 13-game winning streak, which the 15th-ranked Yellow Jackets extended over the weekend with a three-game sweep of No. 20 Clemson. Tech’s 13-game win streak is the second longest active streak in the nation.

Owings, the two-way standout from Gainesville, Ga., is batting .321 with a team-leading 13 home runs and 53 RBI. On the mound, he is 7-2 with a 3.44 earned run average.

Tech (34-17, 15-5) plays its final home game of the regular season Tuesday night, when the Jackets hosts cross-town rival Georgia State at 7 p.m. at Russ Chandler Stadium in a game that will be televised on CSS.

The Jackets then head to Maryland for their final ACC series, with games scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m., all at Ripken Stadium. Tech needs to sweep the three-game series to capture the ACC regular season title.
