THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech men’s swimming squad is ranked as the No. 25 team in the country by the CSCAA, the organization announced in a press release Tuesday. It marks the first time this season that the squad has been ranked in the CSCAA poll.
The Jackets earned an impressive third-place finish at the Georgia Tech Invitational over the weekend, competing against a strong field consisting of fellow top-25 squads Alabama and South Carolina.
The men’s squad is also ranked in CollegeSwimming.com’s poll, which has the Jackets at 13th.
For the second time in program history, Georgia Tech and the McAuley Aquatic Center will serve as the host site for the 2016 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The Women’s Championships will be held March 16-19, followed by the Men’s Championships March 23-26. Georgia Tech previously hosted the 2007 NCAA Championships and the CRC was also the site of the 1996 Summer Olympics swimming and diving competitions.
