@GT_WTEN to Host 2017 ITA Kick-Off Weekend

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team will serve as one of the 16 hosts of the 2017 ITA Kick-Off weekend. They will host the Kentucky, UCLA and Penn in the competition, which will be held Jan. 29-30 at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. The winner of the competition will earn a spot in the Feb. 10-13 ITA National Team Indoor Championship hosted by Yale University.

“We are really excited to be hosting Kentucky, UCLA and Penn for ITA Kick-off Weekend,” head coach Rodney Harmon said. “All of the teams are very good, so we are expecting some great matches in January.”

The Jackets earned the honor of serving as a host site by the virtue of finishing in the top 16 of the final ITA team rankings. Tech Reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tennis Championships after defeating Princeton and South Carolina in the Columbia, S.C. Regional.
