@GT_WTEN: Hourigan Earns ACC Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech sophomore tennis player Paige Hourigan has been named ACC Co-Female Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Hourigan was named Co-Female Player of the Week after her role in Georgia Tech’s win over No. 8 Duke. The sophomore from Turakina, New Zealand won all of her matches on the week. In singles, Hourigan defeated No. 39 Whitney Kay of North Carolina, and Duke’s Kaitlyn McCarthy. Hourigan partnered with teammate Kendal Woodard in doubles to earn wins over the top-ranked doubles pair of Kay and Hayley Carter of North Carolina, as well as Duke’s tandem of McCarthy and Samantha Harris.

Georgia Tech will be the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament and will play at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22.
