THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team will compete in six tournaments this fall as head coach Rodney Harmon released the fall portion of the 2016-17 schedule.
The season will open Sept. 16-18 as the team heads to Rhode Island for the first-ever Hall of Fame ITA Grass Court Invitational. Georgia Tech, along with California, Oklahoma State and Harvard, will compete in a flighted singles and doubles round-robin format on the historic Bill Talbert Stadium.
The Jackets will then head to Athens for the Bulldog Challenge Sept. 23-25. Paige Hourigan and Johnnise Renaud will both take part in the Riviera/ITA All-American from Oct. 1-9 in Pacific Palisades before the Jackets compete in the ITA Southeast Regionals Oct. 20-24 in Gainesville, Fla.
Members of the squad will take part in the Roberta Allison Invite Oct. 28-29 in Tuscaloosa before the fall campaign concludes with select members competing in the ITA National Indoor Nov. 3-6 in New York.
Georgia Tech’s complete women’s tennis schedule will be announced at a later date.
