Georgia Tech #ProJackets Baseball Report

THE FLATS — With the month of June beginning, a number of #ProJackets have heated up at the plate as of late in Derek Dietrich and Charlie Blackmon.

Dietrich is hitting .458 (11-for-24) over his last seven games with a home run, three RBIs and six runs scored. However, the former Tech shortstop made SportsCenter’s Top-10 Plays on June 5 with a great play in the outfield on a sliding catch that turned into a double play.

Blackmon has been on fire over the last few weeks as well, as the all-star outfielder is hitting .364 (24-for-66) with seven RBIs and 15 runs scored over his last 15 games. The #ProJacket is second in the National League in runs scored (46), tied for sixth in home runs (12), and eighth in both total bases (109) and triples (3).

Despite hitting .273 over four games, Matt Skole was reassigned by the Chicago White Sox to the Charlotte Knights on June 4 where he will be back in the lineup every day, while fellow power-hitting #ProJacket Matt Wieters is on the 10-day disabled list.

In the minor leagues, second-year #ProJacket Trevor Craport was named a South Atlantic League All-Star for the Delmarva Shorebirds and will play in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game on June 19 in Greensboro, N.C., while right-handed pither Dusty Isaacs was called back up to the Buffalo Bisons (Triple A) by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Below is a complete list of Tech #ProJackets playing professionally this season.
