THE FLATS — After becoming just the fourth #ProJacket to hit 20 home runs in his first full MLB season (joining Mark Teixeira, Nomar Garciaparra and Jason Varitek), rookie Daniel Palka blasted two more against the Baltimore Orioles on the road to break the White Sox record for left-handed rookies (Pete Ward – 1963).
In the month of September, Palka has 12 hits and six home runs, in just the last seven games, Palka has hit .333 for four home runs, six RBI and five runs. He now leads all American League rookies in home runs (25), while also ranking among the leaders in RBI (3rd, 61) and runs scored (4th, 52)

With three weeks left in the MLB regular season, Charlie Blackmon continues to lead the Colorado Rockies in their bid for a playoff spot.
Blackmon, whose Rockies are just half a game back from the Los Angeles Dodgers and hold a 4.5-game lead over Arizona, hit .333 with six hits, two doubles and three RBI last week. Colorado has lost three of its first four to start its nine-game road trip, including two crucial games to the Dodgers.
Fellow #ProJacket Derek Dietrich, started four of the last six games for the Miami Marlins during a rough stretch that ended an eight-game road trip. Highlighted by a double against Philadelphia, he had three hits last week to move to 128 hits on the year – a career high.
On the mound, Buck Farmer threw 2.2 innings of scoreless baseball for the Detroit Tigers last week over two relief appearances. Striking out one last week, he now has 56 on the year.
