Georgia Tech #ProJackets Baseball Report

THE FLATS — As we near the final month and a half of the 2018 regular season, a number of #ProJackets are looking to get hot and finish out the month of August on a high note.

Finally healthy, veteran #ProJacket Matt Wieters is hitting .360 with nine hits, two RBIs and two runs scored over his last seven games, while Daniel Palka continues to hit home runs for the Chicago White Sox.

Right-handed #ProJacket hurler Brandon Gold has totaled 104 strikeouts over 137.0 innings of work this season for the Lancaster JetHawks in Class A-Advanced, while out of the bullpen Matthew Gorst has totaled 10 saves with a 0.81 ERA on the year and has climbed up to Triple-A in the Boston Red Sox organization.

Shortstop Connor Justus was called back up to Double-A where he rejoined fellow #ProJacket Zac Ryan with the Mobile BayBears for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
