Atlanta – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team will host its annual Holiday Tennis Classic Dec. 27-31 at the Bill Moore Tennis Center on the school’s campus, featuring local professionals like former NCAA No. 1 and Top 100 player Bobby Reynolds, several members of the Yellow Jacket squad and some of Atlanta’s rising young talent.
In the past, Atlanta-based professional tennis players U.S. Open semifinalist Robby Ginepri, Scoville Jenkins and 2000 Australian Open Champion Ellis Ferreira have participated in and won the Georgia Tech Holiday Tennis Classic.
The Tennis Classic is not part of inter-collegiate competition, but is a chance for fans of all ages to enjoy top-notch tennis played in the heart of Atlanta. There will be food, fun, prizes and a raffle benefiting Special Pops Tennis, which is a non-profit organization that offers tennis training and competition to children and adults with disabilities.
The tournament will run from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 27-28 with times for the last three days of competition to be determined. Admission to the Georgia Tech Holiday Tennis Classic is free.
