Georgia Tech will be the featured school on this week’s edition of ACC Live, which airs Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports Net South. Tech football player Kelley Rhino, head basketball coach Paul Hewitt and volleyball standout Kele Eveland will be guests of host Mike Hogewood in FSN’s Atlanta studio on the live, half-hour program that profiles the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Rhino, Tech’s senior cornerback and all-ACC punt return specialist, continues his climb up the ACC career lists for punt returns and punt yardage, currently standing sixth in league history in both categories. He has already broken the Tech record for punt return yardage formerly held by his father, three-time all-America and 2002 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Randy Rhino.
Also featured on Monday’s show is Hewitt, who is entering his third season at the helm of the Tech basketball program. He has posted a 32-29 record in his two years, leading the Jackets to an NCAA berth in his inaugural campaign. In 2000-01, Hewitt was named ACC Coach of the Year, only the second time in league history that a first-year coach has won the award.
Eveland is the all-ACC setter on Tech’s nationally-ranked volleyball team. Earlier this fall, she hosted ACC Live reporter Jenn Hildreth at a Tech football game, including a trip down Yellow Jacket Alley, a ride in the Ramblin’ Wreck and a visit with Tech students in The Swarm section of Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field.
This week’s edition of ACC Live also includes a profile of former Tech head football coach Bobby Ross, who guided the Yellow Jackets to the 1990 national title.
