Georgia Tech will be featured on this week’s edition of ACC ALL ACCESS, which airs Monday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. on FSN South. The live, weekly half-hour show delivers unprecedented admission to the Atlantic Coast Conference, capturing the behind-the-scenes, real-life experiences of ACC student-athletes and coaches.
Reporter Jenn Hildreth visits with Georgia Tech running back P.J. Daniels, who’s become one of the ACC’s premier rushers, after first coming to “The Flats” as a walk-on in 2001. This year, the always smiling Daniels is the ACC’s second-leading rusher (494 yards, 2 TDs), and he has moved into fourth place on Tech’s career rushing ladder.
Another focus of Monday’s show is Tech’s Ramblin’ Wreck, which each home game leads the Yellow Jackets’ swarm onto Grant Field at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The vintage, gold and white, 1930 Ford Cabriolet Sports Coupe was placed into service in ’61 and the Ramblin’ Wreck has led the Tech onto the home turf every year since. A new driver is selected each year from among Tech students, and ALL-ACCESS catches up with the latest man at the wheel, Ryan McFerrin.
ALL ACCESS checks in on Yellow Jacket standout wide receiver Damarius Bilbo. Against North Carolina this season, Bilbo hauled in eight of Reggie Ball’s aerials for 131 yards and a touchdown in Georgia Tech’s 27-21 home win.
ACC ALL ACCESS, hosted by Mike Hogewood, is a live, weekly, half-hour Atlantic Coast Conference program of record, originating from FSN South’s Atlanta studio. The show reaches 11 million homes throughout AL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC and TN, on the nation’s largest regional sports television network. Also, in the states of MD and VA as well as in Washington, DC, ACC ALL ACCESS airs on Comcast SportsNet/Mid-Atlantic; and, across the state of Florida, the show airs on FSN Florida.
