… Georgia Tech scored a touchdown on its first offensive play from scrimmage for the second time in three years. Tonight, Orwin Smith scored on a five-yard run. In 2009, Jonathan Dwyer sprinted 74 yards for a TD vs. Jacksonville State on the first play of the game.
… Three times over the last two seasons Orwin Smith has rushed for a touchdown the first time he touched the ball – vs. North Carolina and NC State last season.
