THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech softball team (7-12, 0-3 ACC)is back in ACC action this weekend with a doubleheader at Virginia (4-14, 1-2)on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m., and a single game on Sunday set for 12 p.m. The Jackets are coming off a heart-breaking 11-inning loss, 4-3, at Troy on Tuesday, while the Cavaliers haven’t played since Sunday as their mid-week doubleheader at James Madison was cancelled due to weather.
Virginia leads the series 37-35 and the teams have split the last 10 games, 5-5, with GT winning both matchups in 2014 in Atlanta.
