Favorite food or meal of all-time: “I like Chinese food, especially pork fried rice and chicken wings.”
Latest music CD I bought: “Bun-B. He’s a different type of rapper and he’s also from Texas.”
Favorite musical artist: “Young Jeezy, because he keeps it real about everything he raps about.”
Last movie I rented or watched in the theater: “Saw 2. It was pretty crazy movie and fascinating at the same time.”
Favorite TV show: “Martin”
Favorite pro sports team: “I like the Phoenix Suns, because of their up-tempo style of play and the fact that they run up and down the court a lot.”
Person I would most like to meet (dead or alive): “Malcolm X. I wrote a report on him once and I admire how he was able to turn his life around.”
Team I would like to add to the schedule: “The University of Texas, because I’m from there.”
Besides the Thrillerdome, what is you favorite arena to play in? “I like playing at North Carolina. The atmosphere up there is pretty crazy, especially when they introduce the players and turn all the lights off.”
Most memorable moment in basketball: “When I was in high school, I hit two game-winning free throws at the end of the game, and I think I hit twelve in a row during that game.”
Best non-athletic talent: “I’m a good cook.”
Who had the greatest influence on your athletic career? “My mother and grandmother. They’ve always kept me humble in everything that I do and have given me a lot of support.”
If there was another sport at Tech you could play, what would it be? “I’d play football and would be a tight end since that would suit my size pretty well.”
Who is the athlete you admire the most? “Kobe Bryant. He’s been through so much controversy in the past couple of years and it never seems to get him down. He still finds a way to go out and perform night in and night out.”
If you had to exchange wardrobes with someone on the team, whose clothes would you want? “Zam Fredrick, because we wear basically the same type of clothes.”
If you could have season tickets for any team, sitting in any place in the stadium, which team would it be and where would you sit? “I’d like to have tickets to the Atlanta Hawks and I’d definitely sit on the bench with all the other players.”
If you were forced to give up all your possessions but one, what would it be? “I’d have to keep my clothes, especially any of my tennis shoes.”
