GREENSBORO, N.C. – For their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom, Georgia Tech baseball had five student-athletes selected to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
Student-athletes qualify for selection to the ACC’s all-academic team by having a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and maintaining a cumulative 3.0 GPA during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements are then considered when deciding the final team.
Representing the Yellow Jackets:
Brant Hurter** // Business Administration
Tres Gonzalez // Business Administration
Andrew Jenkins // Business Administration
Kevin Parada // Business Administration
Luke Waddell** // Business Administration
Both Hurter and Waddell are earning the recognition for the second time in their careers at Georgia Tech. The five selected overall marks the second-straight year that baseball has garnered five members to the team after no team was named in the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
