Eubanks Set to Compete at US Open

THE FLATS – Looking to continue his success this summer, former Georgia Tech men’s tennis star Chris Eubanks is set to play in the US Open. Main draw begins Monday, Aug. 28. 

Thus far in 2023, Eubanks has had much success in his professional career, advancing to the quarterfinals in the Atlanta Open and Wimbledon. Eubanks gained national attention at Wimbledon, defeating two top-15 seeds and breaking a 31-year old record for most winners hit during a single year at Wimbledon with 321. Prior to Wimbledon, the Atlanta native added to his list of accolades by winning his first professional ATP Title at the Mallorca Championships. Eubanks currently sits at No. 30 in the ATP rankings. 

Eubanks starred on the Georgia Tech men’s tennis team from 2014-17, before starting his professional career in 2017. While at Tech, Eubanks earned multiple accolades which included being named a two-time All-American and two-time ACC Tennis Player of the Year.  

Eubanks will face Soonwoo Kwon in the first round of play. The US Open will be televised on ESPN. To visit the tournament website, click HERE
