THE FLATS – The Yellow Jackets finished the final day of the MLK Tournament with Carlos Divar, Phillip Gresk, Joseph Gandolfo, and Brandon Freestone all wining their singles matches.
Divar defeated No. 2 ranked player in the country Jan Zielinski, 6-3, 6-4 while Gresk beat Phillip Henning 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 to remain unbeaten in singles throughout the tournament (3-0).
In doubles, Joseph Gandolfo and Pablo Schelcher defeated Britton Johnston and Alex Phillips, 6-2.
For the tournament, both Divar and Cole Gromley beat top 10 players in the country. Gromley defeated No. 10 ranked player Alex Brown 6-4, 6-3 on day one.
The Jackets will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in a 2 p.m. doubleheader against the Citadel at Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
