ATLANTA–Georgia Tech running back P.J. Daniels and standout Lynnette Moster was named the Wendy’s Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, September 6, 2004.
Daniels, a junior from Houston, Texas, rushed for 169 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Georgia Tech to a 28-7 victory over Samford. Daniels carried 25 times and scored touchdowns on runs of 46 yards and one yard. He also caught a 25-yard touchdown pass on a screen play for a total of 193 all-purpose yards. With the seventh 100-yard game of his career, Daniels vaulted from 12th to 8th place on Tech’s career rushing list with 1,871 career yards. In his last five games, Daniels has rushed for 837 yards and scored nine touchdowns, including 476 yards and six touchdowns in his last two games.
Moster, a senior from Liberty, Ind., led the Jackets this past weekend at the Badger Challenge averaging 5.22 kills per game and 3.11 digs per game while hitting .324. Against No. 23 Wisconsin, the outside hitter recorded 26 kills and 15 digs and two service aces. For her performance, Moster was named to the all-tournament team.
