ATLANTA – Georgia Tech football head coach Geoff Collins visited the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday, where the state’s Senate and House of Representatives both passed resolutions recognizing and commending Collins upon hire as the 20th head coach in GT football history.

Collins was recognized with Senate Resolution 332, introduced by Georgia Tech alumnus P.K. Martin, and House Resolution 452, introduced by GT alums Bert Reeves, Wes Cantrell, Matt Dubnik, Clay Pirkle and Eddie Lumsden. Collins was welcomed with a standing ovation in the House of Representatives after the resolution in his honor was passed.

In addition to being commended in both chambers of the General Assembly, Collins also met with Governor Brian Kemp and Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan (a Georgia Tech baseball letterwinner) in their respective offices.
