Buzz’ success continued into week nine when he took on Wilbur of the University of Arizona. Buzz easily put up close to 179,000 votes as of Sunday night to roll over the U of A mascot by nearly 100,000 votes and remain undefeated in the competition.
With this victory, Buzz will improve to 9-0 on the year and will still sit in first place ahead of Wolfie, Jr. who also took the easy `W’ this week with a win over the Superfrog of TCU.
Week 10, the third to last week of regular season Capital One Bowl competition will pit Buzz against the Superfrog who is 2-7 on the year. Superfrog had a first week win over Boomer of Oklahoma and took down Big Red of Western Kentucky but is currently on a six-game losing skid entering its match up with Buzz.
Last week, Superfrog put up less than 10,000 votes in a loss to Wolfie.
This week was a big week for Buzz as he was the first mascot to go over the 3,000,000 votes mark this season!
Now why you should vote for Buzz (as if you needed any more reasons):
• Clearly the TCU fanbase is not as dedicated as the Tech fanbase as evidenced week in and week out of this competition … and on Saturday night as the Jackets took down Clemson!
• Just like their football team doesn’t know what conference it wants to be in, TCU is undecided about what to do when it comes to voting.
• Superfrog is averaging just about 27,500 votes a week… Buzz is .
• Keep those votes coming! No one likes an upset….. well unless you are the one upsetting the No. 6 team in the country!
