Boggs Named Verizon Academic All-District

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech baseball standout Matthew Boggs has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District III team, announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Boggs, a junior from Dalton, Ga., maintains a 3.28 grade point average while majoring in Textile Engineering. The Yellow Jackets’ leadoff hitter who has played outfield and second base is batting .315 with 28 runs batted in and a .446 on-base percentage.

Boggs is now eligible for the Verizon Academic All-America team, which will be announced in early June.
