Blog Entry #6: November 26 By Freshman Jessica Sinclair

Nov. 26, 2008

Hey Tech Fans!

College is going great so far! Adjusting to life at Tech has been fairly easy. Even waking up early is getting natural to me. The main reason it’s been such a smooth transition for me is because I have amazing roommates and teammates. Having everyone on the team be so open to the freshmen has helped tremendously and I have to admit, my freshmen class is pretty awesome. I’m proud of all six freshmen and how we’ve settled into the swing of things pretty nicely.

This fall season went awesome! As a team we grew a lot. Every team practice we had was productive and got me excited for next semester. I can’t wait for the season to come! And there’s one big reason — the stadium will be here!! It’s come along so fast and it’s looking fantastic. It makes me excited when I hear the Track and Field people complain about the hammer and sawing they hear coming from our new stadium during their practices, because then I know it’s getting closer and closer to being ready!

There are a lot of other exciting things going on in athletics at Tech. Everyone on campus is talking about Football!! This past Thursday was our White Out game against Miami. Pretty much the entire softball team was there and in the front row! Since the temperature was in the 30’s, we all came prepared with hot hands, scarves, ear warmers…etc. The game was on ESPN and not to brag or anything, but the softball team was on national TV and I’m sure we were looking good! We pulled out a 41-23 victory which made almost getting frost bite worth it! Have a great Thanksgiving and I hope to see you in the spring!

Later Skaters!
