Baseball America Names Bradley to Preseason All-America Team

Feb. 4, 2011

DURHAM, N.C.– Georgia Tech baseball junior Jed Bradley was named to Baseball America’s 2011 preseason All-America Second Team, it was announced Friday.

Bradley joins five other members from the Atlantic Coast Conference on the overall list. The Huntsville, Ala. native picks up his second preseason All-America nod on the year after earning Louisville Slugger honors in December.

The 2010 All-ACC Second Team honoree went 9-5 last season, holding a 4.83 ERA with 99 strikeouts. His nine wins tied for the third-most in the conference, while his 9.76 strikeouts per nine innings ranked second. Bradley went 6-2 in ACC games alone.

Virginia’s Danny Hultzen (first team), Florida State’s Mike McGee (second team), Clemson’s Jeff Schaus (third team), Miami’s Harold Martinez (third team) and North Carolina’s Levi Michael (Third Team) all join Bradley on the list of representatives from the ACC.

Tech will open the 2011 season with a three-game series against Kent State at Russ Chandler Stadium beginning Friday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m.
