Balogun, Dixon Compete in McDonald’s All American Game

ATLANTA, Ga. – Georgia Tech women’s basketball signees Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon helped the West team to an 82-79 victory Wednesday night in the McDonald’s All American Game. The game featured 24 of the premier high school athletes across the country competing in Philips Arena for the 17th annual matchup.

Balogun, a 6-1 guard from Chattanooga, Tenn. (Hamilton Heights Christian Academy) saw 14 minutes of playing time donning the No. 4 uniform for the West team. She finished with three points, connecting on a three-pointer, and one steal.

Dixon, a 6-5 forward/center from Memphis, Tenn. (Ridgeway High School) also came off the bench for 13 minutes of playing time. Dixon finished with five rebounds, including four offensive, and four points on 2-of-6 shooting. She tallied three blocks, two assists and a steal.

The pair are also set to return to the court in the Jordan Brand Classic game in Brooklyn, N.Y. The game will be played at the Barclays Center on Sunday, April 8.
