Andres Martin named ACC Co-Player of the Week

THE FLATS Andres Martin has been named ACC Men’s Tennis Co-Player of the Week, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Tuesday.

Over the weekend, Georgia Tech play No. 9 Georgia at home. Martin had his doubles match go unfinished while he won his singles match. Martin beat No. 25 Phillip Henning 7-5, 6-1.

Martin is the No. 12 ranked singles player in the nation and is one half of the No. 13 doubles pairing in the nation with teammate Marcus McDaniel.

A mainstay on No. 1 singles, Martin won both the singles and doubles draw of the ITA Southeast Regionals and made it to the semifinals of ITA Fall Nationals in doubles.

The White and Gold return to action March 4th against Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
