A-T Fund Year-End Giving – 2022

THE FLATS – Historically, December is a popular time for giving, as it is the last chance to take advantage of annual tax benefits. In 2022, it is also a great month to support Georgia Tech athletics, as all new gifts and pledges to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund’s Athletic Scholarship Fund through Dec. 31 will be matched by the Georgia Tech Foundation as part of the Competitive Drive Initiative.

Thanks to the Competitive Drive Initiative needing less than six weeks to reach its initial fundraising goal of $2.5 million, the target was extended to $3.5 million raised by Dec. 31. With all new gifts to the Athletic Scholarship Fund being matched dollar-for-dollar by the GT Foundation, the total impact for Georgia Tech athletics has already surpassed $5 million. Should the new $3.5 million goal be reached by Dec. 31, it will result in a total impact of $7 million for Tech athletics.

So, for fans that make a donation to the Athletic Scholarship Fund by Dec. 31, not only will they be able to take advantage of 2022 tax benefits, but the impact of their donation – as well as the A-T Fund benefits they receive – will be doubled.

There are several ways to make a year-end gift:

Make a gift online: All credit card donations can be made online at www.atfund.org/donate. Donations made by credit card must be charged by 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2022. Please select from funds listed or use the “Other” option for other funds not listed. To contribute to the Competitive Drive Initiative, be sure to select the Athletic Scholarship Fund. Please note that credit cards sent by mail may not be received and charged in time for 2022 credit.

Make a gift by check: Donations by check must be dated and postmarked by the US Post Office by December 31, 2022. Delivery services like UPS and FedEx are not acceptable postmarks. Please make checks payable to the “A-T Fund” and include a note with information relevant to your gift. Please mail checks to:
