2004 Baseball Schedule Announced

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s 2004 baseball schedule has been announced by head coach Danny Hall, and the slate includes 23 games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament in 2003. The Yellow Jackets will open the season on Feb. 14, 2004 in Statesboro, Ga., against Georgia Southern, and Tech will host Savannah State on Feb. 18, 2004, in the home opener at Russ Chandler Stadium.

Highlights of the 2004 schedule include home Atlantic Coast Conference series against Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia and Duke, as well as three-game non-conference series versus Miami, Washington and Rutgers at Russ Chandler Stadium. The Yellow Jackets will play three games during the season against rival Georgia, including a May 11 date at Turner Field, and two games against SEC power Auburn. Tech will travel to Fullerton, Calif., on Feb. 27-29, for the Kia Baseball Bash that features national powerhouses Cal State Fullerton, Southern California and Oklahoma.
