Yellow Jackets Make Trip to Nashville

Nashville, Tenn. – After a successful trip to Clemson, the Yellow Jackets track and field team will compete in the Vanderbilt Invitational through Jan. 18 – Jan. 19.

The Jackets will travel with 51 student athletes-24 from the women’s team and 27 from the men’s team.

Last weekend, senior Avery Bartlett, performed well breaking current women’s track and field head coach, Alan Drosky’s school record. The record came in the 1000m event where Bartlett would finish in first with a time of 2:22.49.

In the Clemson Invitational, the Jackets saw more than 10 personal records broken across the board and saw senior Jeanine Williams finish in second in the 60m hurdles event with a time of 8.16.

In only the second meet of the new year, the Yellow Jackets will look to build on their successes from last weekend at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
