Yellow Jackets Head to NCAA Last Chance Meet at Notre Dame

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to South Bend, Ind., for the NCAA Last Chance Meet on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6. The Yellow Jackets will try and snag a spot in the Indoor NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., March 12-13.

Already heading to the Indoor NCAA Championships for the Yellow Jackets is sophomore All-American Chaunte Howard. Howard leads the nation with an Atlantic Coast Conference and Tech record jump of 6’2.75″ in the high jump.

Freshman Ashlee Kidd has a qualifying time in the 200 and 400 meters for the Jackets. Junior Dana Rogers and Montrell Person each have provisional times in the 60-meter hurdles, while senior Amandi Rhett has a provisional time in the 200 meters.

Senior Brendon Mahoney has a provisional time in the 800 meters for Tech, while teammate Holt McPherson has a provisional mark in the long jump for the Yellow Jackets.

Junior shot putter Zeb Sion will head to Iowa State to compete in the shot put at the Cyclones’ NCAA Last Chance meet on Saturday, March 6.
